The design on the lid comes from a weird piece of antique pottery found in Missoula, Montana. This city was originally known to French trappers as Porte de l'Enfer or the "Gate of Hell" and thus has a strange historical connection with the devil.
 
I made the bold decision to make the box entirely black inside and out, so it will be a very dramatic addition to your collection.
